(1) OSS installers, pumpers, and maintenance service providers shall obtain approval from the local health officer prior to providing services including, but not limited to, conducting inspections in accordance with WAC 246-272A-0260 and 246-272A-0270, within a local health jurisdiction.

(2) The local health officer shall establish procedures for approving OSS installers, pumpers, and maintenance service providers no later than February 1, 2025. These procedures must include, but are not limited to, conducting inspections in accordance with WAC 246-272A-0260 and 246-272A-0270. The local health officer may approve OSS installers, pumpers, and maintenance service providers through reciprocity by other Washington local health jurisdictions.

(3) The local health officer may establish a homeowner OSS inspection certification process.
