On page 2, beginning on line 22, after "subsection (2)" strike all material through "RCW
43.06.092" on line 24 and insert "(i) through (p) of this section must be appointed by the governor"
On page 3, at the beginning of line 8, strike all material through "research" on line 9 and insert "the office of the secretary of state and the state auditor's office, within existing resources. The office of the secretary of state and the state auditor's office may enter into an interagency agreement related to the provision of staff support for the work group"
EFFECT: (1) Adds the Secretary of State and the State Auditor, or the designee of the Secretary of State or the State Auditor, as members of the blockchain work group.
(2) Removes the Senate confirmation requirement for Governor-appointed work group members.
(3) Provides that staff support to the blockchain work group will be provided by the Office of the Secretary of State and the State Auditor's Office within existing resources, rather than the House Office of Program Research and the Senate Committee Services.
(4) Allows the Office of the Secretary of State and the State Auditor's Office to enter into an interagency agreement to provide work group staff support.
