HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 95-4693, by Representatives Kessler and Buck

     WHEREAS, An outstanding public school system has long been a tradition in Washington state; and

     WHEREAS, Excellence in public education requires both outstanding teachers and school administrators; and

     WHEREAS, John Jones, Quillayute Valley school superintendent, has been named as a recipient of the 1995 Washington Award for Excellence in Education; and

     WHEREAS, Jones is the only person on the North Olympic Peninsula and the lone superintendent in the state to receive the award; and

     WHEREAS, The award recognizes exceptional leadership, contributions, and commitment; and

     WHEREAS, A ceremony is scheduled May 25, 1995, in the House of Representatives chambers;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the state of Washington honor John Jones as a recipient of the 1995 Washington Award for Excellence in Education; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be immediately transmitted by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives to Superintendent John Jones.
